THE PROJECT

LGPR served as the agency of record for celebrity Chef James Syhabout for more than three years. Chef is renowned for having the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Oakland (Commis, two Michelin stars), bringing his authentic Laotian Thai cuisine to the Bay Area with Hawker Fare, and debuting a new cookbook in January 2018 under Anthony Bourdain’s publishing imprint


OBJECTIVE

As a Food & Wine “Best New Chef” alum with various James Beard Award nominations, our goal was to build awareness for Chef as a culinary leader and expert. Utilize his restaurants and new cookbook contract to drive coverage


STRATEGY

LGPR personally works with James on brand strategy, vetting all opportunities that come his way and is responsible for handling all media relations on behalf of him and his restaurants.
